I see so many opportunities for inpt setting!
1. Get the exs (custom developed by the therapist) on the pt's TV in their room
2. Develop a category for "positioning" - while this is not an "exercise" per se, it is crucially important for some pt populations (stroke) during their early stages of recovery. This video would be instructional for the caregivers: nursing/HCA's, family.
3. We could create some great educational/instructional videos for nursing/HCA's on mobility. It would be accessible to them whenever needed and would improve our efficiencies by saving time providing live inservices.
4. If we ever did get it on the pt's TV, it would be great to be able to track how often they are "logging in"/exercising/mobilizing, perhaps even create some sort of motivational/friendly competition within the unit tracking their progress!!
Thanks Maria those are great ideas that would truly be beneficial to patients. We’ll add them to our Cleveland Clinic feature requests list.
Could we also have a video for stair training, technique/sequencing, guarding for family members, etc?
Love the idea of getting it on the TVs in the patients' rooms, as well as positioning (elevation of extremities, preventing pressure ulcers, placement of lines). Would also like to see a seated hip flexion video - could not seem to find one.
